Applying for Membership
Full Membership of the Association is £10 a year payable by standing order.
Associate Membership is free, you can use the forum and some of the website, but you cannot vote in any Meetings.
Please read the terms and conditions!
To apply to join please contact us direct by email, as we sometimes need to disable the automatic applications systems to avoid spam applications.
Application via the website: Note: When you click on the "Apply for Membership" or "Register" buttons for the first time, you will see a screen asking for you to enter your Email, Boatname (Username), Password and some other things. we ask you to use your boat name as "username, as this helps on the Map page. The password should be at least 6 characters long. It is VERY important that you put some real reasons why you wish to join and information about your boat in the “About Your Boat” box. This helps us to stop spambots from applying to join and swamping the site. Please put something interesting in there about your boat, crewing or the like so that we know you are a real sailor. Please also put your Mobile phone number in the Mobile phone Box message as an alternative contact to the email. If you add a link to a web page in the "about me" you will be immediately deleted as this is one "signature" of spam/spoofers.
Lastly, we have another anti spam measure that requires you to confirm you are not a robot.
After completing this form and sending in the membership form, the site will send you an automated response email ,
This is very important that as it confirms you can receive emails and they are not getting caught in any junk mail folders. Note that the automated message from the site sometimes gets caught in spam or junk filters, if so, please ensure that emails from the association are allowed through to your inbox, or else we will not be able to send you emails, or even process your application.
Once you have replied to the automatic message yoou should automatically become an Associate member.
