GDPR Regulation

edited April 2020 in General
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduces new rules and regulations that affect even our small organisation.
The CCA does not share your email address with any third parties, and we only send out emails to members to inform them of CCA activities. However, we are required to have evidence that you "agree to our holding data about you". So we shall be sending out an email to all members requesting "free consent" to us retaining your email address and membership details. Please look out for this email and respond quickly if you can. If you do not see it, or think it may have got lost in junk, please email us and we will sort it out!

The GDPR also requires that organisations no longer keep data "indefinitely". This means that we are required to delete your information if we do not hear from you. We intend to do this on an annual basis at the AGM to keep the members list up to date.
