Round The Island - Catalac

Hi All 

Have just returned the Bipusseia Trophy to the Island Sailing Club having been awarded it last year. 

Will be contending again this year with my beloved C-CAT a 900.

Any of you Catalac chaps fancy having a go with yours?? Scubacat was the last previous winner in 2003 !!! (are you still in Northney Scubacat?)

Congratulations on winning the Bipusseia cup (I had to look it up!) .-I thought there was a "Catalac Trophy", but perhaps it has been renamed?..

It certainly would be good to see more Catalacs racing.. and good company..(!) 

When Scubacat won (under  previous ownership) I understand she was stripped of anything that moved before the race,  Like you I am more laid back, ...so much slower... Also I have not had the spinnaker up in anger for a few years. I do have a new Genoa on order, but do not have a rating for the new sails. 

The old (current) rating for Scubacat was with her huge Genoa, which I much regret I gave away without measuring.   

Perhaps with a bit of encouragement we might get a better turnout this year??
