Our heater cost about 150£. I fitted it int a 22in partially stainless tool box so I could transfer it between achillea and out westerly, but have fitted the box into the port quarter locker back in Oct 2018 but have only fitted the exhaust properly this summer as couldn't decide where to fit the exhaust . Ill take some pictures when we go in Feb I welded up 316 through hull exhaust but it goes through at under 30 degrees angle and fitted it through the outside port cockpit coaming with the heatwrapped exhaust actually mainly in the coaming . With the controller fitted just over the internal helm access door. It works fantasticaly well . The heat is, nice heat, and we can use it while moving motor or sail. We have a heat outlet in both hull s though the trunk is not fully fitted over the bridge deck yet but the heat works through to both the heads and the front double cabin to comfortable temp within 10mins of turn on and we have only used it really at 20% capacity full on and the temp soars to an uncomfortable sauna level however the night time outdoors temp only went down to 2 degrees so there is a good reserve . The in the 4 days we were on the boat it was on 24 hours a day ,reduced to low during day, we used just 3 liters of diesel maybe a smidge more. I have watched John McKay's 16 videos on YouTube so understand the heaters both forward and backward and cannot fault it . Arriving on the mooring at 10 in the evening with a warm cabin is a big plus for winter. This is a link to Johns 1st video . Worth subscribing and watching all 16 number 16 covers boat installation. https://youtu.be/tvwmU_CcmGI
