I think there were probably a number of alternate options, can you send some photos to help? For myself, on Scubacat we replaced the plastic hinges with modern stainless ones. I will try to get the exact type for you...but only some of the original holes fit the new hinges although the end results are fine. My original electrics had simple toggle switches and fuses, not breakers. I replaced the lot with some push button reset breakers plus inexpensive switches with led indicators. The latter may have been an economy too far, as the LEDs have blown on a few over the last ten years. A more expensive switch and separate indicator may be a better approach. One thing that worked well was the location of the new panel, which slots into a revised access panel that covers the back of the wheel gear and steering linkage. I will try to find a photo. Dagnall
